Review: Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Oh Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, my new favourite lifesaver for my nails! You speed dry my nails within a couple of minutes and leave them glossy for the world to see, how I love thee…

I have actually had this topcoat for about a year and the first couple of times I used it, I hated it namely because (a) it absolutely stinks, I suggest you open a window wide to dissipate the fumes and (b) I found that within a couple of days the whole layer of polish on a few of my nails would come off in one sweep.

This usually happened whilst I was out and about (and as you can imagine was not a good look!!) which then resulted in pitying looks from girls with perfect nails and sadly I couldn’t even pretend it was the look I was going for! So I dumped it into my never to resurface again bag.

Anyhu fast forward to about 3 months ago, I was in a rush to go out and had inevitably left my nails till the last minute and needed them to dry pronto, so in my desperate state I thought why not try it again. I did and 4 days later realised my nails were still intact!

So I set about experimenting with a few other polishes and after a number of tries I realised they all stayed put. I finally tried the original polish I used it with and it happened again so I came to the conclusion that it just doesn’t like that polish (sadly that polish finished and was thrown out a while ago so I can’t remember what it’s called)

Yellow Leopard Print Nails - Butter London

It may be wintery outside but on my nails it's spring....that's the song (well my version of the song) that keeps popping into my head every time I look down at my nails.

Those of you that follow me on Instagram will know that on Saturday I was at a beauty and makeup event by the very talent hairstyist Dionne Smith and makeup artist Joy Adenuga

The event was so much fun and it ended with a marriage proposal to Dionne on stage as well as a performance by the CEO dancers from Britain't Got Talent - you can watch my mini video's on  Instagram where I captured the moment.

They also had a nail company there called Colour Riot Nails who were giving out complimentary manicures and my gorgeous bright nails are courtesy of them.

Strengthening my Nails & Bloglovin

My nails have been terrible recently, they keep breaking and chipping and as for my cuticles well… you get the picture!

I was at the vitality show last weekend and popped over to the Sally Hansen stand just to see if they had anything that could help, and they had a pack called weak nails which sounded perfect for my current nails condition. It contains the following

Pantones Emerald Green: A beauty take

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I know it's been a while since our last chin wag, I have been giving my blog a much needed face lift! which unfortunately took longer than planned - the joys of css and html...but its nearly done now and I am rearing to go, so bring on the post.

I actually welcome the opportunity to change my mind. Who am I kidding? welcome is a serious exaggeration. Lets talk about the colour Emerald Green.

Emerald Green is one of those colours that I appreciate for the fact that’s it’s a jewel tone and if someone gave me an emerald, I would happily skip over to the biggest safe screaming I’m rich, I’m rich!

Other than that, when I think of emerald green, it conjures up images of leprechauns and green trees!

So when Pantone announced that Emerald Green was the colour for 2013, I have to admit, I was a little dismayed! They describe it as “lively, radiant and lush”, I immediately thought of a bearded leprechaun sitting on top of a tree sporting emerald gems wherever possible! What can I say? I have an active imagination – I know you thought it too!

Nail of the day (Notd) - Kiko Vermillion Red and Blueberry Glitter

Hey LPM lovelies, hope you've had a lovely weekend so far....

Mr LPM was away this weekend, so what did that mean?...it meant a girly weekend vegging out, walking around with scary white facemasks, watching catch up drop dead diva and eating haagen daz cookies and cream ice cream...yummm .....hmmm must get back onto those salads this week.

Continuing on from my last post about Kiko, I thought I would get painting so you guys could see what the colours look like .

The first one is like a deep hot pink with A LOT of Glitter, which unfortunately is why I'm not so keen on it. It looked lovely in the bottle but just has way too much glitter for me. It's called Blueberry Glitter (I know, I know, it should have been a dead give away with the name) and is number 277. The second one is such a lovely red shade called Vermillion Red and is number 239. I love this shade, it's much brighter than it looks in the picture and is so pretty on.
The colours went on very easily and I got my desired look with just a couple of coats. Now wait for it, they retail for only £2.50!! talk about a bargain.....
p.s  this is my first attempt at taking pictures ....hope they are  ok :-)
p.s.s does anyone know how I can get rid of these annoying spaces in my text on blogger?!!!

Kiko Haul

So I recently popped into Westfield in Stratford for a meeting, and noticed a little beauty store called Kiko, obviously like a child surrounded by candy (yes that is what beauty is to me- i find myself resorting to full toddler speak of "its mine and i want!") I couldn't resist popping in to have a look.... Fast forward 10 minutes and my hand is completely covered in a rainbow of pretty colours of lip glosses, nail polish, eyeshadow etc..

To give you with a bit more information about the brand, they are an Italian cosmetics brand with a couple of branches here in the UK and best of all, are very affordable. They recently launched 5 new shades for darker complexions which I would love to try out  next time. Check out their site for more information about the brand http://www.kikocosmetics.com/eshop/uk/home

Here are a few pictures of my mini haul of products that I left with. I will do an actually review soon and let you guys know how they worked out.

Have any of you tried out their products before? What did you think of it?
