The Review: Sisley Phyto Lip Twists in Berry & Baby

It's Friday, it's sunny and new to my makeup bag are the gorgeous Sisley Phyto Lip Twists that you might remember me raving about in my Valentines post last week

First of all I absolutely love the fun zebra packaging. It's easy to carry around in your handbag and more importantly is really easy to apply when you are on the go, without you having to worry about a mirror, lining your lips or applying it on precisely as you would with a lipstick. It's also designed like a twistable pencil so there is no need to sharpen it.

The colour pigment is fantastic and easily adaptable to the look you would like to go for, from a wash of colour to an intense pigmented look. This more or less sold it to me as  I have dark pigmented lips as many women of colour do, so I need the product to have quite a bit of pigment in there to really show up on my lips and get the colour payoff.

When you apply it, it glides on so smoothly and silky and has the added benefit of nourishing ingredients to leave your lips feeling plump and moisturised.

Sisley Phyto Lip Twist Baby

Sisley Phyto Lip Twist Berry
I have it in shades 2 - Baby and 5 - Berry. I initially thought Baby would be a little too light and girly on my lips but I really like it on and it's so easy to wear on a daily basis. Berry is a luscious plummy colour that can be worn lightly during the day (depending on how much colour you like on) and built up to a more opaque look for a night out. I also love the combination of both of them together with Baby in the middle of my lips as it gives a really nice gradient effect, and adds some extra dimension to my lips.

It's available in six fantastic shades ranging from sheer to intense (1) nude (2) baby (3) peach (4) pinky (5) berry and (6) cherry. It retails for £28, a little pricey I know, but with Sisley you honestly do get what you pay for and these are worth the splurge.
